About Me

Professional – I am a biology teacher at Kennett High School in North Conway, NH where I primarily teach college prep, advanced, and AP biology to 9th, 10th, and 12th grade – although I have been known

to teach an occasional A & P or environmental science section.   I have been a member of the faculty since 2003 and I love it.

Outside of School – Married for 10 years to the man who fills in all my missing pieces. Mother to a very curious 7 year old (who, incidentally, enthusiastically answers ‘CELLS!’ when asked what we are all made of).  General lover of life and try each and every day to be happy about something.

I just completed my first dozen years as a biology teacher…and it seemed like a good time for some reflection, revision, and reinventing myself as a teacher…rediscovering why I fell in love with learning in the first place.

  1. I love reading your blog! I too teach biology for about 12 yrs and I am interested in flipping! I would love to see some of the materials you use and pick your brain about how you flipped and what types of successes and failures you have experienced with a flipped classroom! Have a great day! – Scott
