Professional – I am a biology teacher at Kennett High School in North Conway, NH where I primarily teach college prep, advanced, and AP biology to 9th, 10th, and 12th grade – although I have been known to teach an occasional A & P or environmental science section. I have been a member of the faculty since 2003 and I love it.

Outside of School – Married for 15 years to the man who fills in all my missing pieces. Mother to a very curious 12 year old (whose favorite thing to do when she was little was enthusiastically answers ‘CELLS!’ when asked what we are all made of). General lover of life and try each and every day to be happy about something.
I just completed my first 17 years as a biology teacher…and it seemed like a good time for some reflection, revision, and reinventing myself as a teacher…rediscovering why I fell in love with learning in the first place.
I love reading your blog! I too teach biology for about 12 yrs and I am interested in flipping! I would love to see some of the materials you use and pick your brain about how you flipped and what types of successes and failures you have experienced with a flipped classroom! Have a great day! – Scott
